Meeting market demands for grid current frequency stabilization
The increased use of renewable electricity production, such as electricity from biogas, wind- or solar power, has created a market demand for stabilizing the frequency of electrical grid current.
As electrical boilers from Elpanneteknik Sweden AB can be regulated from minimum to full capacity within less than 30 seconds, they form a natural part of any modern electrical grid. The possibility of transferring electricity to heat with an efficiency of up to 99,8% provides the opportunity for heat accumulation – so called thermal energy storage – as based on renewable energy.
For decades, the founders of Elpanneteknik Sweden AB have supplied a number of such orders to Europe as well as Asia. During 2017, Elpanneteknik Sweden AB delivered its largest order so far within this field, a 400 MW plant for a power plant in Northern China.
